Advanced Instrumentation Workshop 2022
The Gallagher Group taught the Proteomics session at the Advanced Instrumentation Workshop. This year we had over 80 students from 20+ primarily undergraduate institutions come to Baylor to get hands on experience with chemical instrumentation. Jess Conforti and Jacob Hatvany led several sessions introducing students to tandem mass spectrometry on an orbitrap mass spectrometer. We used Collision Induced Dissociation to sequence a peptide and looked at how commercial software can be utilized to sequence full proteomes.
