You'll want to associate with us!
We are very excited to announce that Dr. Elyssia Gallagher has received tenure and been promoted to Associate Professor this Spring here at Baylor University! This post is written by one of the members of the Gallagher group, which means we can brag about how great a PI she is.
We have all benefited in this group from her dedication to our work as well as the time she takes to mentor us both professionally and personally. She has had a huge impact on all of our lives. In her time here at Baylor she has mentored 1 post doc, 12 graduate students, and 16 undergraduates and is also involved in Baylor’s Women in the Academy (WITA) mentoring program. She serves in a plethora of professional committees for organizations like Analytical Chemistry, the International Society for H/D Exchange-Mass Spectrometry, and the Journal of Mass Spectrometry. She has also earned several awards including the Ron Hites award from ASMS, the Distinguished Associate Accolade from NIST, the NSF Career Award, and the Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year in STEM award from Baylor.
As a group we celebrated this promotion recently and are so excited to see what the future holds for us. Sic' Em!
