Sebastian Alberti
Biography:
Hello, everyone! My name is Sebastian Alberti and I am a senior chemistry major here at Baylor. Right now, I work with Darren Gass, helping with his work on ion-reactions with metal adducted carbohydrates, and am working specifically with glycan isomers, to better understand their differences in spectra, and how to identify the reason for their differences in fragmentation. Currently, being a pre-dental student, I am focused on dental school, and am going through the interview process in hopes of being accepted. I was drawn to research at Baylor, despite being focused on pre-health, because I wanted to further my skills and understanding of chemistry as a subject, and to familiarize myself/ be more competent in with research. Even though many dental students do not participate in research, there are still many possibilities for students, and I hope that I can continue to participate in research during the next four years. When I'm not occupied with schoolwork, I enjoy playing guitar, and cruising on my skateboard to relax from time to time.
