Congratulations Alexis Edwards, Ph.D.!

That’s right! Today, Alexis Edwards defended her dissertation “Investigating Structural and Stability Characteristics of Native-like Proteins Using Ion Mobility-Mass Spectrometry (IM-MS) in Positive- and Negative-Ion Mode.” Over the past five years, she has become an expert in native mass spectrometry and contributed as a scholar to the field of chemistry through her presentations at conferences and her publications (check out https://doi.org/10.1021/jasms.1c00144 and https://doi.org/10.1007/s00216-023-04891-5 !)

Of course, this called for a celebration; we partied hard with -you guessed it! - a pinata and a game of Alexis-themed Jeopardy! We are excited for Alexis and her future endeavors. Sic’ Em Alexis!
